Hanging Interactive layout

Have you ever seen a Hanging Interactive layout before? Noooo….?!

Well I haven’t either, until I just designed one..
Please allow me to introduce to you - A HANGING LAYOUT..

This was inspired for a crop challenge hosted by Scrapbook Fantasies. Using the Fallen Leaves collection by Kaisercraft.
I have 100% designed this, as it just kept evolving as I was going along..

I have learnt plenty of tricks to make it even better for next time! Definitely need to devote an entire collection for this project instead of the limited papers I had to use to keep within the challenge guidelines.
It has 13 ready to photo opportunities wnd journalling can be added anywhere basically.
It has hidden pockets, pull out mats, flip elements and an easel too.

* work in progress photos below - you can see how the easel sits up on the bottom page.

Leaves Glore

Another project inspired by the Scrapbook Fantasies cyber crop challenges from March.. .

Leaves Glore

Life is measured by moments

I know the layouts are suppose to have photos. But I’m not interested in ‘prizes or comps’.. I’m just super stoked to have made the steps to be creating and excited about the process again.
I truly loved putting this layout together!
There was even some fussy cutting involved with minimal whinging..
Using the Kaisercraft “Fallen Leaves” collection, I may have been designing this in my head during work yesterday.. Thankfully it turned out exactly what I was hoping for.
Plenty of layers with papers, cuts, stencils and even some acetate included in the 3x4 photo mats too. All elements that make this pop in real life as the eye takes it all in..

Shades of Brown

This past March Scrapbook Fantasies held a fun cyber crop with an Autumn theme..

Here is my project inspired by their Challenge 1 -
Shades of Brown

G'Day Mate

Featuring snippets from the Aussie Grunge collection and Scrapbook Fantasy chipboard..
It shares the memory of Hunter digging for Gems during our trip to Sapphire & Rubyvale a few years ago..
Plus plenty of little additions of mixed media items. (Ink, blending, smooching, fluff, glitter, crayon, stencilling)
It took many tries with different ideas to design this layout.. But I definitely had fun playing, destroying several cardstock pieces and then tossing it all..

I am loving the final outcome and every piece I have thrown out makes it worth it!

Construction safety first

Over at Scrapbook Fantasies, they held a January cyber crop to say “goodbye 2023”.. Definitely something I felt would assist me in moving in the right direction for 2024..

With help via zoom from the beautiful ladies in the USA, I managed to put together two basic but meaningful layouts.
This one was for challenge 4- use shades of one colour.
I choose the yellow colour that is featured in the pattern paper designed by Alicia Redshaw. Using the black & white as accents to highlight the layout design too.
The photos are of Hunter in 2016 marking out his safety zone with his toy dumb trucks..

It was so much fun putting this layout together using a twist on the grid pattern. The diagonal triangles placed in just the right position on each grid square set it out to be orange strips, similar to the "caution tape"..

The extra element of the grid stencil on the base white layout isn't as prominent in these photos, however very eye catching in person.

Christmas 2023

2023 saw us welcome a PINK Christmas tree.

I have wanted one for so long, but now the boys are older, I figure it was finally the time.
We’ve had real, fake, green, white, black & even spray painted the last one.
Of course I had to coordinate the wrapping paper, sacks & balloons all to match.

I put this together using Scrapbook Fantasies products for their cyber crop over the January  holidays.

This layout was made with some fairly simple tearing and layering of pattern paper. The design is basic and heavy on the circle sparkles!

Forrest Friends layouts

Welcome back Scrap Crazy crafters... I am loving having some of my mojo back and getting back into the creative flow. As you all know, I love a good challenge and love a Sketch challenge even more.

So I searched through some of my old favourite challenge blogs and knew that Lasting Memories wouldn't let me down. And they certainly didn't with their April month long Sketch challenges.

I had so much fun playing with this Kaisercraft collection - Forrest Friends that I decided to make two layouts using the same sketch.
The first interruption with one photo and an offset journal card instead.

Welcome Baby

I used a large 12x12 stencil to add the ink texture to the base to create a pattern paper base.
Finished it off with plenty of collectables in their clusters too.

For the second interruption I stuck to the two photo idea, however changed up the pattern paper strips to actually be full layered mat pieces. These are actually the leftover scraps from the layout above.
I purposely chose not to add the arrow bottoms on either of the layouts, as the collection papers just weren't giving me the feel for it. It's a cute soft baby range.

These layouts will be a gift for a friends soon to arrive baby boy, and therefore do not have photos attached or a title for this second layout. All will be added after the special little fella arrives.
