Once Upon a Sketch - October

I've finally finished a layout I started last weekend... This one is using a brand new just released Memory Maze chipboard frame, featuring a 11yr old photo of my Mum and my oldest son when he was barely weeks old..

I made this layout based on a beautiful sketch from the Once Upon A Sketch Blog..

Love

I decided to play around a bit with the base and create something soft and textured..

Close up of some embellishments..
Even though the base is a beautiful pink, I have used the chipboard frame as a layer between the Blue/Green and Red embellishments to really highlight each element to make them pop..

Here is a beautiful poem I have for the journaling on the front of the page..
On the back of the layout I have actually wrote about how grateful I am that my Mum and my boys have such a close bond.. In their eyes their Grandma is the centre of the universe and how special she is... (The journaling challenge this month is the Special Woman/Girls in our lives)
*Honestly it's quite personal journaling on the back of the layout, so don't wish to share it all.. Hope that is ok..

Close up of the photo..
The chipboard frame has been painted black then sealed with Glossy Accents..

Thank you for allowing me to share this layout with you.. I had loads of fun making it..
Although I have created my own base, I made sure that the Photo, Journaling, Title, Stamping and the Embellishments are in the right position following the sketch.. :)

123 Challenge - October

Welcome back... I hope you've all had a lovely start to the week.. :)
Tonight I'm here to share with you my entry for the 123 Challenge Blog October challenge..

I've always loved the softness and elegance of the colour Apricot, so was hoping to get something done for this challenge when I saw it released a week ago..

A Precious Bond Forever

The photo on this layout features my Mum and her newest Grandson..
I have been able to see first hand the precious bonds that she has with my two sons, so I know the bond that will be shared with my gorgeous little nephew will be special too!!

I have hidden the journaling on a pull out tag under the photo.
The colour doesn't look right under with this lighting, I do apologise, the true colouring is actually shown in the above photo..

This is the base of the layout before the chipboard swirls, photo and flowers..
I loved this paper, thought it was super cute and something fun to tear into three for this layout..
The entire base has been matted with Cream and Apricot cardstock..

Lasting Memories  #212 - Anything Goes

This was FUN to make!!!
The photos on the layout feature Hunter digging for Thunder Eggs during Lane's birthday party back in May..
I have below many photos of this layout to show you some of the process while making the base and some close ups of the finished layout. The papers I used are from a Kaiser collection that Lane won at the local show this year. He of course allowed me to use them! :)

This is the completed base.. However I forgot to rotate it, sorry.. lol..

Now some close up's of Hunter and the elements of the layouts..

Please do head on over to the Lasting Memories layout challenge blog to link up your entry by the end of the month!

White with One - October

OOOOH I AM SO EXCITED TO SHARE THIS LAYOUT WITH YOU!!
This weekend I attended a local crop.. I had so much fun and I made this layout which I am so proud of! I truly think it is stunning!

I spent quite some time looking for the right colour to match this for the White with One challenge this month.. I think it looks pretty good, but does look much darker in the photos for some reason.. But given the varieties  shown by the DT, I am still confident entering this..

Moments in Time

When I first saw this chipboard design I was so drawn to it, I knew I wanted to use it straight away!
It is a brand new design out from Qld's own Memory Maze..

I have actually slotted the title chipboard into a gap, so that it all looks like one piece..

I used a stencil and some texture paste to make the base for the page..

Then I had a go at "white on white"  look for the first time and decided to highlight with White embellishments and elements as well..

The photo features Hunter and I during a beach photo shoot 12 months ago..

I hope you've enjoyed my layout, thank you for allowing me to share it with you..
Finally I would just like to quickly acknowledge that this layout is entirely an original design by myself and although I LOVE seeing people scrap-lifting my designs, please do just be courteous by letting me know and giving me design credits.. Thanks, Toni..
Now, you can head on over to the White with One challenge blog yourself now and link up your own entry.. :)
