Welcome to December.. Please tell me I'm not the only one completely stunned by how fast the year has gone.
This month at Lasting Memories we are featuring Daily Holidays, Special & Wacky Days.. These are based in the USA and don't have much relevance to us in Australia, but the challenges are still easy enough for us to follow along and join in. So I really hope you all do! :)
LM #476 - Poinsetta - use the beautiful traditional flowers of Christmas on your layout.
LASTING MEMORIES LAYOUT CHALLENGES
TIS THE SEASON
This month you'll see a common theme within my layouts. I will be experimenting with laying paper under and around the photo. I have struggled with this in the past so am trying to master it a little better. This layout features my beautiful baby boy Hunter on his first Christmas in 2010.. We were staying in Agnes Water with my family and had floods for days. Here, he is playing on a board in the yard what was water logged.. My older son Lane was slip and sliding along too. (That photo is on the layout for next week, so please come back and check then too!)
Being in Australia, finding Poinsetta paper isn't exactly the easiest thing to do. And let's be honest, I don't even know if this flower that I cut is is the correct one of not.. hahahaha.. But you get the point and the effect is the same..
I started out with some beautiful paper, not sure what collections they all are as they have been mixed and several different manufactures used. I have been in over drive lately making Christmas cards and other creations, it has been so much fun as it has been many years since I had bothered..
For the little cluster in the bottom corner with the cut outs, I added some leaves and twine..
As you can see - layers, layers, layers.....
What do you think?
Thank you very much for joining me today and I'm so excited to be able to share with you all the creations for the Lasting Memories Design Team!
I really hope that you will drop by the blog and check out the inspiration from the rest of the team members and then get creative to link up your own entry.. There is plenty of options for this challenge theme, we all have some Christmas papers laying around somewhere with Poinsettas on it, right.. lol
Thanks again, Toni.. xoxo
