This week we would love for you to include a Palm tree on your layout..
G'Day crafters... There has been a cold snap go through here this past week, which has made it a great time to re do my craft room and get into the creative mood.. Yesterday I did up this layout with a fun and beachy feel to it. The challenge this week is to use a Palm on your layout.. I had to think outside the box a little as I don't have anything big, but I do have this super cute stamp and some diecut tags.
I started off with a basic cream coloured base and decided the only thing to add was the circle stencil with modelling paste. I knew my embellishment clusters would sit on top of these.
I used a "cocoa" Versa ink and the Kaiser "Tropicana" stamp for this palm tree image, which I then made the two front trees pop a bit more by drawing over it with a Brown distress marker.
The photo is another of my boys at Christmas time last year at our local watering hole.
The papers I have used are from a very old Kaiser paper pad range "Paradiso"
Adding in a frame, flowers and other embellishments to create some clusters and complete that soft beachy feel..
This page can be followed by a beginner or used a base of inspiration to add to for any advanced scrapper. I'm hoping it may be able to spark some creativity for you to join us in this challenge..
What do you think?
Thank you very much for joining me today and I'm so excited to be able to share with you all the creations for the Lasting Memories Design Team!
I really hope that you will drop by the blog and check out the inspiration from the rest of the team members and then get creative to link up your own entry.. There is plenty of options for this challenge theme, we all have some Palm trees laying around somewhere.. lol
Thanks again, Toni.. xoxo
