White With One - Lemon Bliss

White..with 1

We've had a sunshine shortage lately here in central Qld.. It's out, but darn it's still too cool for my likings.. lol  Glad that it starts to warm up again this month and we find our way knocking on the door for Spring..
So this month, we would love to challenge you to use a cool Lemon Bliss colour and of course the sketch too if you wish..

COOL

Such a FUN layout!
So bright and makes this photo pop..

Firstly I started off with some yellow misting spray, just to give the back a texture element to catch the eye behind the layers.. I dug into my stash to find this awesome yellow tissue paper, as soon as I saw it I knew I wanted to use this as a featured base piece behind the photos.. Then a yellow & white stripped pocket in the back, holds my journal tag..
To add the layers and flow to the layout, I put down some stars and a couple of other embellishments to complete the look..  The scribbling though was just a stroke of genies on my behalf of course... haha... It didn't quite feel finished, but added that just gave me that "ahhhh yep done" feeling.. :)

What do you think?

Thank you very much for joining me today and I'm so excited to be able to share with you all the creations for the White With One challenge this month.
I really hope that you will drop by the blog and check out the inspiration from the rest of the team members and then get creative to link up your own entry TO OUR FACEBOOK PAGE!

Your imagination is your only limit.. Just add a dash of colour to your white layout..
Thanks again, Toni.. xoxo

Lasting Memories - 508 - sketch - flawless

DT Button

#508 - Sketch
Final sketch this month to reach the end of the month.. I LOVED working with this one!

flawless

I truly have no words for just how beautiful this young lady is.. And WOW how much fun it is being able to create using Ella's photos are such a pleasure.. I am very lucky that I have friends that will allow me to use their daughters to feature on girly layouts when I need..

This layout uses the Uniquely Creative - Urban Garden collection, It is made from one patter paper piece. Torn just over half way and flipped.. The embellishments are all fussy cut from the collection sheet.. I did add some pretty pink roses from my stash and some gold sploshes on the background to highlight the gold glitter on El's face in the photos.. Such a lovely boho beach theme... I really can't get enough of these photos!!!

I was so happy to get a Canon Selphy for Mother's Day back in May and have used it a few times now to quickly print off photos... It's great cause it means I can scrap the photos I actually WANT to scrap instead of either wasting time going to the shops and waiting, ordering online and waiting or just using whatever I have instead... This printer is a real game changer for me and let's me set the photos up first..

Lasting Memories - 507 - sketch -picture perfect

DT Button

#507 - sketch
This month we are ALL ABOUT SKETCHES

Picture Perfect

Hey crafters... How are you doing?
So glad to have you back today to share another Lasting Memories DT layout with you all.
Another sketch this month and I am loving it. As many of you know I'm always up for a sketch and most of the time I like to put my own spin on it in some way or another.. lol

So using this super pretty Coco Vanilla papers, a couple of Prima flowers and some wooden embellishments from the collection sticker pack - I was able to throw this one together pretty quickly actually..

Don't forget the trusty old bit of spray mist on the back of the layout to give some extra texture and element with the twine around the title.. Love the simplicity of this layout.. :)

I will be adding a little white journal tag in that empty space under the photo too. But as usual, I like to leave that until after I take the photos for my blog, as sometimes they are personal words.

Lasting Memories 505 - sketch - fun

DT Button

Lasting Memories - #505 - Sketch
Welcome to a fun month ahead for July... We are challenging you with a brand new sketch every week!!

FUN

As most of you know what have followed my posts, know that I LOVE sketches! So this month was definitely one of favs as a DT member...

I changed the sketch up a bit to fit my own feel and style as I'm not really into using quite so many photos on layouts..
These photos feature my gorgeous friend and her children...
I really wanted to have that tropical feel, so added some stamped leaves under the first big mat piece..  I loved using all of these mats to create layers and depth to my page..

The printed die cuts (leaves, "fun" and the anchor) are from Scrapbook Fantasies - they are custom designs of that store.
I fussy cut out the pink flowers from a Uniquely Creative sheet and added plenty of foam tape to get those layers popping!

I recently got myself a wreath die, I have been wanting one for SOOO LONG!!!
But they can be quite expensive for my budget, so when I saw this Sizzix one on sale at Spotlight, I jumped on it.. Plus this new Mesh die from Couture Creations really holds it's place for the spot for that middle photo in sketch..

This layout was a struggle.. I'm not sure why, cause I had such big plans!!! Nothing I did turned out the way I wanted it too..

Anyway, I have featured a photo of myself with a friend on her wedding day last October.

Super pretty doily cutout by Scrapbook Fantasies.. Ribbon, Gauze, Prima white Flower and some blooms plus Roses all put together with a Memory Maze chipboard piece for the title is about it for this layout..

Lasting Memories - 503 - Sparkle

DT Button

#503 - Sparkle
Continuing on with our theme of celebrations this month, we are asking you to create a layout with some "Sparkle" on it.. Glittered ALPHA's are a great way to do is..

with you

Making memories with my boys is most certainly my most favourite thing to do in this world... EVER!
This photo was taken just 6 months ago during our summer holidays at the Gold Coast theme parks. This one was while waiting for the Stunt Show to begin at Movie World.

The sparkle on my layout is from the glitter in the flowers and the alpha title..
I chose a black background cardstock so it would help to feature the glitter sparkle.. It isn't captured in the photos very well, but in real life it definitely does, thankfully!

This was the first time I created the little flutter-by floating flowers thing, it was fun!

Using Coco Vanilla papers, a couple strips of black glitter washi, flowers and title - there really isn't much to this layout but it's still so effective. The colours are so vibrant and fun, that there really is no need to add much more or go overboard.. The photo is matted but nothing else done.. I didn't even ink this layout... lol

Lasting Memories challenges this month
500 - Bingo
501 - Confetti
502 - 5 or more pattern paper
503 - sparkle

What do you think?

Thank you very much for joining me today and I'm so excited to be able to share with you all the creations for the Lasting Memories Design Team!

Cyber Crop - White With One - June 2020

Image may contain: stripes, text that says 'Cyber Crop 19 to 21 JUNE'

Challenge 1 -
use a sketch + photo 3x4 or smaller + 1 stencil + 2 fussy cuts + 3 pattern papers + add extras

This stunner is another friends daughter - Lani..
I used the Mystique Nightwind collection... The sketch that was used as inspiration, I flipped and used a few more fussy cuts than I was suppose to also.. lol

Challenge 2 - Scrap your stash
white cardstock + 1x colour of your choice  + 2x flower clusters + 3x bling / dots + 4x patter papers

This layout features a photo of my Mum and my oldest son at his school Senior Commitment Mass at school earlier this year..
I chose green and to scrap more of the 6x6 paper pad that I actually used for the next challenge.. lol
The green mist actually suits much closer in real life, the camera seems to have brighten it a bit.. oops..
I used a gorgeous Mandela ready cut sheet from Scrapbook Fantasies and the "Memory Lane" collection from Kaiser..
Some bling and gauze finished off the layout with the fussy cut flower clusters..

Challenge 3 -  Colour from the photo background
3 or more photos + embellishment that doesn't go with the theme + doily / mixed media

It features stunning photos of a friends daughter - Ella, that I have used a few times the past few weeks.. It is such a dream to be able to create with these photos!
I used the "new adventures" die cuts, stamps and cogs by Couture Creations and paper from the "Memory Lane" collection by Kaiser. Then chose to do both some mixed media and add a doily..
The colour I focused on was the sand in the background of the photos and cogs are the embellishments that don't go with the "girly beachy" theme..

You still have time to drop over and join in with these challenges or even just say HI on the crop event page.... Hope you're all having a wonderful weekend.. Right now I am actually inside a local scrap shop helping with stocktake this weekend.. Loving it as this is right up with my relaxing zone, weird I know... Plenty of laughs and wow it's been so good to see my crafty friends after so long being locked in by covid..

Happy Scrapping..
