Grand Bazaar Card + Layout

You may recongise vaguely the design of this layout... It's actually one that I did many, many years ago but loved so much that I have scraplifted myself several times.. This time it was for a local class.. Again, another class that was a hit and extra kits with measurements & instructions had to be made up for crafters afar..

The collection is from Kaisercraft and with their two sided pattern paper the bold colours popped no matter which side was used..

Sweet Asuka baby layout

Sweet

18months.... Yep, I bought this collection and another little girl collection 18 months ago to put together a baby album for a friends little girl... 18 months and this is finally the first layout I have put together for it.. ehh..

Thankfully this beautiful little girl is every bit of inspiration I need to create her some lovely layouts with this Asuka collection.

Hike More layout

As we all know, I love to play with 49 & Market collections..
This one features a few squares and rectangles layered to create it's own unique base for the background of this awesome photo of my friends gorgeous cheeky son..
Hike More collection from 49 & Market and an arrow chipboard piece from ScrapFX feature with some delicate leaves and rub-ons to give the simple minimal effect.

Let's Get Sketchy July - Wonderful

Wonderful

From the moment I saw this sketch, I knew I wanted to use the Uniquely Creative - Mind Over Matter collection to complete a layered page with shaker stars.
I added some extra layers (red cardstock) for extra strength and stability.
I decided to use only one central photo mat and use the two other small photo mat positions for cluster bases instead.

It's been hard with the rain and cool temps here in central Queensland lately to get a decent photo for this layout, so I bring it to you a couple days late. I do apologise for the lighting issues.

Make sure you keep watch here on blogger or fb crafty page for another interruption of the same sketch with a different paper collection that I put together for inspiration too.

Vacation Time - Let's Get Sketchy DT

VACTION TIME

As soon as I saw this sketch, I knew I wanted to do something special with some rub-ons.
So I grabbed the 49 & Market - Beached collection and went to work..
I honestly fell down the rabbit hole with this layout and wanted to keep going and going... lol
The more the eyes wonder over this layout, the more you'll find.

-- PROGRESS PHOTOS - PUTTING THE LAYOUT TOGETHER --

To make sure the triangles are all the same size, I made myself a little template.
3 1/4" x 4 rectangle piece of scrap.
3 1/4 - tall
on the top edge, measure in 2" and place a pencil dot (center).
Then cut from each bottom corner to the center dot on the top edge to create the triangle.

Mark little dots / lines on the left side of the triangles and then remove. These are simple marker dots so you have a guide on where to place the rub-ons so they look like they are partly behind the pattern paper triangles.

I really enjoyed the layering of the rub-ons.. However, I did make a little mistake - can you spot it? lol

To make sure I got the triangles laid straight across the layout, I used a T Ruler..

Snap Shot

Snap Shots of a good life

This layout is the second layout made from the 49 & Market evening I had a couple weeks ago..

I dug through the box, pulled out a few goodies and just starting throwing things on the layout.. lol
I didn't think about it all too much to be honest, I just felt like being creative.

This layout was actually made from the leftovers that were still on my desk after making "Choose Happy" post shared a couple days ago..

This one is more heavily based on the Butter and green colours with not as much Lilac as the first layout.

Lasting Memories - 543

 DT Button

Welcome back.. We are at April already.. Can you believe it? I am blown away how fast the year is flying by to be honest..

This week at Lasting Memories we would like to see you use a photo the size of a 4"x4"... You can have one or more..  As you can see by my layout, I chose to add 4 photos.. :)

These are the best days

I loved putting this one together.. The photos were taken recently just a few weeks ago for representative football trials.. They feature the beautiful young Ela, Indie and my son Hunter..
All three had a blast!!

The base of the layout starts off with a piece of white cardstock laying on top of a black frame boarder..
Then I cut up a piece of pattern paper, inked each strip and stuck them back down in a different order to create that striped pattern..
I placed the photos together on the square black mat and raised it from the layout with some foam tape.
Finishing it off with a sentiment box and some journaling.
There really isn't much to this layout, but it is very eye catching and effective.. A beginner can easily do it and a more experience scrapper can add use it as a base to add extra texture or embellishment..
