Lifetime 

As soon as I saw the theme for challenge 6 A LOT OF SQUARES from the cyber crop with Scrapbook Fantasies, I drew a sketch straight away.

The Islands collection pattern paper was perfect for this design.

#1 - 12x12" base

#2 - 10x10" blue mat

#6 - 9.75x9.75" white board

#1 / #2 / kraft cardstock - 4x4" squares

white cardstock - 4x4" for photo mat in the middle

#1 / #2 / #6 - 1.5x1.5" mini squares

The only CURVES on this layout came from the Embellishment clusters with the vellum and colour cuts from The Island collection and Finished off with small title chippie "lifetime"

texture added with distressed and inked edges.

This layout is again very simple, it's focused with the design being placed in the bottom right corner for a little twist on what's normally designed.

I honestly couldn’t decide which Animal fussy cut I wanted to use, so ended up creating a pocket and slid the Emu & Koala in as design elements. The focus of the Crocodile allowed me to make a square 5” card for something a bit different. Basic, but different.

I used Kraft cardstock as the card base, then an ivory cardstock as the card topper layers.

Scrapbook Fantasies - Aussie Grunge collection for all of the cute fussy cut & colour cut pieces.

Blossom layout

Blossom

This is another strips & scraps element layout. Using leftovers can help extend the use of your collections and allow for so many more projects to be made.

Blossom started off with a white cardstock base and smooshing pink ink.

Diagonal torn floral pattern paper with thinner strips placed under it for layering.

Finish it off with some photo mats and clusters and the layout is done.

This is one that can be completed in under 60min.

So if you need a fun and fast layout design that doesn’t need too much brain power, this is a perfect example!

Beautiful layout

Beautiful

For the next 5 days, I will be sharing my newest layouts using the Boho Beautiful collection.

For the first time in a couple of years, I’ve finally made my way back to my craft desk to strength my mental health and help my along a healing journey.

This has spurred me into a fun series I wanted to share to show you different ways that scraps can be used. I love using Strip Scraps and the next few layouts will highlight how you can extend your collection supplies to get more layouts done.

As you know, I do not add photos to most of my layouts. I apologise. It’s all about the creative therapy aspect for me.

Below you will see the steps taken for this BEAUTIFUL layout. Some basic stencilling on the white background, with some drawn lines. Then used the scrap strips on the base, before layering with some larger size mats & cluster piece. Simple & effective.

Christmas card mail-out

 MERRY CHRISTMAS!

This year, I was inspired by a fellow Sassy crafter Shannon to try something a bit new for card bases.. I loved it so much I'm actually going to give it a go with trying to adapt it to a Scrapbook layout too.. :) 

Anyway, it's such a fun technique of cluster stamping in a sort of cross in the middle of your plain cardstock, then cutting that cardstock up into the 4 sections sized for the card toppers. 
I got a little carried away and didn't exactly follow the concept of a cross though.. oops.. lol.. 

I actually ended up with 3 different stamp set designs (only two are included below, sorry)
I stamped with a solid Black, a Coral ink and Forrest green ink to coordinate best with the OUTBACK EVE collection - Kaisercraft. The added a little Gold ink for the stencil that matches with the gold glitter cardstock I added as a topper. I finished off the cards by inking all edges with a Golden Black ink so it wasn't as harsh as the stamped black images. 

In total I made 24 of these cards... And most of them have found their way to the USA and one to the UK...

Multi circle layered “Koala” layout

Multi circle layered "Koala" layout featuring a beautiful and soft photo of my youngest boy Hunter, Australia Day 2021 at the Australia Zoo.

 WHITE WITH 1 - Earth Cyber Crop (March 2022)

Challenge 2- White with Green + Leaves / Trees + use Fibres of some sort.

Yes, I really did fussy cut all of these.. ekk.

It took about 45min to do the whole sheet.

Then I also inked the edges.

Didn't end up using all of them on the layout shared eariler, so have saved them for another project.

Plenty of foam tape used on the layers for this one.

I started out wanting to use a circle on top with the leaves popping out from underneath, but then I found the white wood paper and everything changed.. lol.

Like usual, I wing the changes and so happy as it turned out way better than I originally planned!

Leaves are fussy cut - Craft O'Clock.

I used this very simple circle cutter tool to cut out the circle layers.
