Star Double page layout CM

Double page layout, made with Creative memories products during this months local crop.
This idea was a simple one following some cutting instructions.
Of course I changed it up, but the design is suppose to have different size circles where I have put the stars.
The circles are mats for photos or journaling.
I choose to add the stars to the design element as I know I wouldn’t be adding photos to this one.

Tropical Vibes CM

Creative Memories layout using one pattern paper to create an outside grid.

As you can see from the backside of the page, there are 1.5” strips that have been flipped over to make the design on the outside on three sides. Finished it off with a fun and bright sticker cluster.

CM tilted mat layout

I loved putting this layout today during this months local Creative Memories crop. This layout is based on an idea to tip the photo mats on a slant. I used stickers up the top and bottom of the photo mat tilt to boarder it.

Every crop we are shown 3 new techniques or ideas and I am so incredibly grateful for the spark these create and allow me bases to grow on.

CM autum layout

During the local Creative Memories crop, the coordinators share 3 technique or idea layouts with us, which are great to base designs on, and as you know, I love to expand with my own style.

This year they now give out a monthly challenge as well, it's been great to see so many of the crafters embrace this every month. This month it was to use Stickers, however we had to mat them and layer them. Of course, this was right up my design style (except for the fussy cutting this then creates.. lol)
I used up these super cute old Autumn / Fall themed stickers to feature on this layout. I have no idea where I came up with the uneven grid idea, it just kinda popped in my head and thought it would be fun to give it a go. It didn't quite turn out how I had imagined, instead it altered to something different and I'm actually really loving it!

This months local Creative Memories crop was a couple weeks ago.
It is an event that I look forward to every month now and am so grateful to be able to surround myself with local crafters, all encouraging each other and sharing ideas.

Believe layout

 Scrapbook Fantasies   Creative Team.

Believe

This is the one that got me back into scrapping.
I stuck with something I knew and have scraplifted from myself many times before.
I needed something easy, familiar and guaranteed to make me happy.
This layout is based off a stripped background layout I had designed many years ago and have the pleasure of scraplifting from myself on the occasion over the years.
This is a prime example of how using scraps from a collection can be used to extend your projects.
We all have random pieces of varying sizes leftover without a clue what to do with them.
I hope that the simplicity I have shared with these 5 layouts can inspire you to use up even more of your leftover scraps in an easy and coordinated manner.
This layout I started out with pattern paper #3 as the 12x12” background base, Before quickly placing #5 & #6 pieces on top to layer for a base. Approx 10.5”..
Using #4 to cut the strips from (or use your own leftover pieces), stick them randomly & tightly down to another white scrap piece to hold them all together. I have found this to easier to do keep control of the pattern and the straightness of the strips as I’m working..
Finish off with chipboard pieces, photo mats & flowers.

Although this is quite an easy layout, it’s effective and can be a little fiddly with the strips. But it’s worth it and still can be fully completed under 60min.
Best not to think too much with this one. Just stick it down and away you go.

Did you know that at Scrapbook Fantasies, you are able to return your empty packets for recycling.

Bird Untitled layout

Scrapbook Fantasies   Creative Team.

Untitled bird layout using the Boho Beauty collection by Scrapbook Fantasies.
I haven’t put a title on this layout yet. As this is one I could potentially decide to be a keeper and add a photo to in the future.
Starting off with a white cardstock base, adding some teal smooshing and side boarder strip for the base.
The next step is to glue the Boho Sweetness Rice Paper on the back of the ladder paper cut design and position onto the middle of the layout. Behind that, stick down the flag / banner style scrap strips down the right side of the layout.
I also added a photo mat, some clusters from fussy cuts & colour cuts and rub on elements for a different layer to catch the eye.

I think this is my favourite of the 5 layouts!

Blossom layout

 Scrapbook Fantasies   Creative Team.

Blossom

This is another strips & scraps element layout. Using leftovers can help extend the use of your collections and allow for so many more projects to be made.
Blossom started off with a white cardstock base and smooshing pink ink.
Diagonal torn floral pattern paper with thinner strips placed under it for layering.
Finish it off with some photo mats and clusters and the layout is done.
This is one that can be completed in under 60min.
So if you need a fun and fast layout design that doesn’t need too much brain power, this is a perfect example!
