I have some very exciting news to share.. 
Thanks to the amazing Alicia Redshaw at Scrapbook Fantasies, my imagination for this project came to life with this special custom made BOW CRAZY pack.. You can follow the link to check them out and grab yourself a pack too!! There are 11 pre cut bows from a 12x12 sheet.. The price is very budget friendly too!! - GET BOW CRAZY HERE - 

During a recent instore 3 day retreat young Amelia and I decided we were TEAM NAP and to lay on the floor for a little break.. Although no eyes were shut during our break, there were plenty of giggles and definitely felt recharge afterwards.. 

Using an Ultramarine ink pad I started off by sploshing the background so that it would feature the bow.. 

Then with more white paper I drew the lines and dots on some scrap and then stuck to the top of the bow.. I love that the design elements on this page I handmade especially for it. 

Adding some simple embellishments from a Uniquely Creative pack finished the page off well..

I gotta admit crafty friends.. After a couple months of not getting any craftiness done (I'm very good at working ahead and being organised so I still have something to share when I am in this situation) I have been loving getting my mojo back and using these new photos of us during our holiday in Januray..  

The two photos here were captured at a really cool MAZE.. 

The paper collection I have used is called "Daydream" from Cocoa Vanilla..

100% BOY

I am so excited to bring to you my entry into this months awesome sketch challenge over at Scrap The Boys.. 

As soon as I saw this one I knew I wanted to create with it! 

100% Boy 

I found some incredible speedway themed papers at the new local scrap shop here recently.. 

As a family we go back many generations with speedway and racing,  so it's always fun to feature some photos of my family enjoying the sport with others in the new generation.. 

Hunter is here with his mates that are the kids of family friends at Gympie.. 
Both of their Dad's and grandfather before race.. 

For me it's a great atmosphere to bring up the kids! 

The collection is from Choa Bella.. 
Of course I gave my own little spin to the sketch and clustered some of the layers. 

I first smooshed the white cardstock to add that featured yellow colour base.. 

I love working with really well done boy themed collections and this is one of the best I have found! 
I can see so many layouts and projects being made with this.. I may have to buy another set of packs so I can hoard them too... hahaha..

Out & About

Recently the boys and I were able to enjoy some much needed quality time with friends on the Gold Coast.. We loved being able to walk around Cavill Ave on Surfers Paradise whenever we wanted.. 

I absolutely LOVED putting this base together!! 

I used off cuts from a kit by Twitchit Craft Kits... I first lined the entire white cardstock with double sided tape and glue.. The layers each piece down starting at the bottom corner.. It was so much fun making each piece fit! 

The title cutout is pre-cut from Scrapbook Fantasies..

Two easy scrapbook layouts - Plant Lady - Twitchit craft kits

Layout 1- 

With a plain 12”x12” white cardstock base, use a blending brush with your coordinating ink and the stencil in the kit to add a fun diagonal pattern. Once you are happy with your design, remove the stencil and continue extra free style blending in the two corners.
Add two 4”x6” photos and then find some fun quotes and frames to cluster around your photos from the Window Blooms and Buy The Plants pattern papers. *tip- to give your layout dimension, layer your fussy cuts using foam tape. 

Layout 2 - 

With a plain 12”x12” white cardstock base, use the “sploshing” technique on your background – stamp an ink pad onto a piece of plastic, sprintz some water and swirl around so there are no solid lines / edges. Then drip the colour and splosh this onto your cardstock. Let dry or dab up the access with some tissue.
Hanging Plants 6”x12” + Cacti 2”x12” + Green Thumb 1.1/2”x8”
Place the red paper 2” down from the top of the layout and then the black cross paper just under it. The blue strip paper will meet the left edge flush and go across on top of the pattern papers join. Using two of the 3x4 journal cards and a 4x4 journal card, create your eye catching design element on the right side of the layout. A 5”x7” photo will feature perfectly in the middle of the layout. I used a circle punch to cut out the “always choose kindness” journal card and finished off the page with a flower from my stash.
