Magical Memories - LM 697

It has been amazing getting back into the crafty chair lately.
Of course it's much easier working with a great promo pack from Scrapbook Fantasies.
The Magical Memories collection by Alicia Redshaw is full of designs that you can honestly create so many different projects it's truly unlimited with possibilities.

For this layout I chose one of the amazing sketches shared by Lasting Memories layout challenge blog this month. We all know I love a good sketch, so of course it was the first option when I started to play with the leftovers of the collection.

Beautiful

This fun sketch was perfect for some of the scraps and pattern papers.
I started with two Magical Memories # 3 sheets.
The first I used as the base piece. The second I cut 12"x5" and again 12"x4".
The pink Glitter cardstock has two 1" strips as well.
Plus two wooden strips leftover from another layout.

Start by layering the # 3 mats on top of each other and them stick down in the middle of the page. I love the idea of the base pattern and the top middle pattern flowing together as an illusion.
I chose to adhere the glitter strips flush to the top and bottom instead of under or on top.
The wooden strips though, I did stick on as extra layer elements.

A simple photo on top. Add the colour cut clusters and title.
Very basic, but great for scrappers of all levels. Beginning can follow along the sketch or Advanced crafters can add and adjust as much as they want and make it their own.

Joy fold card with extra flips

For a recent swap we were given the freedom to choose a fun fold of our own to send to a partner.. One of my fav folds is actually a Joy Fold.. I wanted to change it up a bit extra, so added some flips to it too.

I am absolutely in love with how this turned out..

GDT Uniquely Creative - Memories

During August I was lucky enough to be asked and featured as a GUEST DT member using their incredible Creative Kit - Among The Gum Trees

MEMORIES

Well, what can I say about this layout?? There is so much I honestly don't even know where to start..

Please watch the video above for all of the instructions and steps that I couldn't possibly get down on paper..

Although all of the photos here are mixed up, if you scroll you'll get a general idea of how it's put together with some shuffling.. lol .  SORRY..

I started off with a frame base and then placed another piece of pp over the middle for the major design element to feature on.
Three adorable photos of Hunter from the Gem Fields holiday a few years ago, sit on top of single layered circles.
The top layer of circles though are interactive, with four circles glued together to create a sort of flip / fan sort of element.

Using scraps after cutting out the circles, I used some strips as fake layers under the main center paper piece and the scraps from the blue papers to metal die cut the wire design..
Don't forget the random stencilling too.

GDT Uniquely Creative - torn layout

During August I was lucky enough to be asked and featured as a GUEST DT member using their incredible Creative Kit - Among The Gum Trees

So we are half way through catching up on posts for my August projects for Uniquely Creative. I'm hoping you are enjoying them so far.

This torn layout base was put together in about 15min..
I have shared a quick video on my facebook page featuring the tearing and layering process..

The pleasurable thing about working with generous kits like this is the fact that so much is included.. Plenty of paper in the collection pack, some additional plain cardstock, hessian and even some corrugated cardstock too which I used as the bottom base for this layout..

Tearing the pattern papers up to feature the designs and then layered using foam tape to create dimension and volume. Plenty of little embellishments and fussy cuts assist the torn edges to focus on the texture of the corrugated base and hessian photo mat.
