Happy - Beach grid layout

And there we go… Another layout finished.

This one us using Seize The Day collection - Uniquely Creative.

I am really impressed by how many projects I’m getting from this collection with still well over 75% of it that I haven’t used yet.

This is an entry into a fb challenge group that required the square pattern background & use of two photos..

I don’t always journal on the front of pages, sometimes I flip it over & write on the back. Just to keep the design aspect all pretty..

This is the perfect opportunity to share why I love to Distress & Ink edges so much.

You can see the huge difference there is with layering effects, dimension & textures when you take that extra l bit of time & effort to ink the edges.

Of course some layouts you may want the softer clean edges, but I like most of my layouts to have this extra element in them..

Mixed media base layout

WINNER

Oh my goodness.. This one I really struggled with.. 

I had an idea in my head and it just wasn't working. 

I didn't end up loving this layout HOWEVER it did win the challenge that it was entered into... so.... hey, awesome! lol 

I used some paste to coordinate with the mood photo that was the criteria inspiration.. 

Then added a stencil, photo and colourcuts. 

 

Mixed Media Bases - with Hunter

Hunter and I put together a few super fast ideas for how to use some basic Mixed Media products to create your own base for a layout, card or Art Journal..  

This is the finished project we put together using all of the techniques..

Wedding card - Country Boho

 CARD PART 2

Righto, here is the second card that I made for the Custom wedding card order.

Even though I really liked the previous card, I just couldn't love it for this particular order / couple. 
So at 2am I came up with a different concept and plan.. The morning of the order pick up I was up and at the craft desk before breakfast.. lol 

I used the beautiful Mintay - Harmony collection which really highlights a fun Country / Boho theme. It's a lot more relaxed and much nicer feel for the order brief. 

*The happy couple sent me through the most wonderful feedback comment also. That was really lovely..

Wedding card Shabby / Garden

I recently put together this beautiful floral styled card for a custom order wedding card.. 

Although I absolutely enjoyed the process of putting it together, I actually just didn't love it for the couple that I was making it for.....  ------ SO I made another.... Keep an eye out for CARD 2.. 

Anyway, for this one I used beautiful papers from Kaiser, rub ons from 49&Market, load of flowers and sprays, gauze, chipboard and even make a matching box since the card was too big for any envelope I had in my stash.. 

 

This / That swap tags

Each week I create new ideas and inspirational projects for a small online group I am a part of on FB. 

I love to try and come up with things I normally wouldn't bother making. But the imagination runs wild when I can base projects on PenPal ideas or upcoming swaps. 

The weather hasn't been great for progress videos lately, but I did manage to throw these This / That tags together today and quickly did a show & tell video afterwards instead..

I used 1 plain cardstock for the 8 white bases.

And 3 half pattern papers of the Kaiser - Lady Like collection.

Base tag - 6x3"

Bottom pattern paper - 5 3/4 x 2 3/4"

Top pattern paper - 5 1/2 x 2 1/2"

The use whatever you have in your stash to create embellishment toppers.

Alphas, Stickers, Colour Cuts, Doily, Glitter Paper ++

Punch a tag hole at the top, roll in an album ring & add some ribbon for decoration.
