Mix 5 junk journal handmade items

 Mix of 5 handmade junk journal items for a local Aussie Junk Journal swap group. 

I recently joined a local Aussie Junk Journal swap group and this is the first time I have joined in this particular type of swap. I used the Kaisercraft - Garden Villa collection. 

Hopefully my swap partner will be able to use these goodies in the future with their own projects.

Thankfully we get a video with instructions to follow along with, it certainly helps the creative flow ease when all we have to do is cut, fold and stick.. lol
I used the Kaisercraft - Garden Villa collection

I am obsessed with how the white and tan tones blend the two colours we aren't normally suppose to mix, blue & green.
But I believe this works well all round with this collection.

Open Card April - Seize the Day Window 3D card

I don't really know what to call this card. I made it from an idea that popped into my mind while I was sifting through die cuts for another project. lol.
So once I was finished that one, I jumped straight on this one. Using Uniquely Creative - Seize The Day collection.

Of course I started off with a card base, then cutting out the front panel to form a window with acetate.

I stuck down that awesome circle diecut piece on the back and started to add the clusters.
Thankfully I hadn't stuck it down too eagerly and was able to slide the bingo ephemera piece underneath. I really do think this helped with giving the card a 3D and depth effect.

Once I was done I realised there was no where to write a message, so thanks to Kerry who was on a zoom crop with me at the time, as she suggested adding a pocket and tag to the backside of the card. I did, and it looks awesome!!

Garden Inspired layout

 Garden themed inspiration layout created for a Scrapbook Fantasies cyber challenge.

I loved putting this together.

May not have enjoyed the fussy cutting quite so much, so I made sure I used all of those suckers! Although I think I cut off more scraps than I kept..

I used the Imagine with Alice collection from Scrapbook Fantasies.

Isn’t this rainbow cut out adorable!!

I added a green foil to back it.

Of course I layer most of the elements on this layout with foam dots.

I believe that even the simpler designs like this, can be taken to an extra level with something as basic as layering. Which obviously is one of my favourite additions, as you probably recognise by now anyway.
