Lasting Memories - 503 - Sparkle

DT Button

#503 - Sparkle
Continuing on with our theme of celebrations this month, we are asking you to create a layout with some "Sparkle" on it.. Glittered ALPHA's are a great way to do is..

with you

Making memories with my boys is most certainly my most favourite thing to do in this world... EVER!
This photo was taken just 6 months ago during our summer holidays at the Gold Coast theme parks. This one was while waiting for the Stunt Show to begin at Movie World.

The sparkle on my layout is from the glitter in the flowers and the alpha title..
I chose a black background cardstock so it would help to feature the glitter sparkle.. It isn't captured in the photos very well, but in real life it definitely does, thankfully!

This was the first time I created the little flutter-by floating flowers thing, it was fun!

Using Coco Vanilla papers, a couple strips of black glitter washi, flowers and title - there really isn't much to this layout but it's still so effective. The colours are so vibrant and fun, that there really is no need to add much more or go overboard.. The photo is matted but nothing else done.. I didn't even ink this layout... lol

Lasting Memories challenges this month

Cyber Crop - White With One - June 2020

Image may contain: stripes, text that says 'Cyber Crop 19 to 21 JUNE'

Challenge 1 -
use a sketch + photo 3x4 or smaller + 1 stencil + 2 fussy cuts + 3 pattern papers + add extras

This stunner is another friends daughter - Lani..
I used the Mystique Nightwind collection... The sketch that was used as inspiration, I flipped and used a few more fussy cuts than I was suppose to also.. lol

Challenge 2 - Scrap your stash
white cardstock + 1x colour of your choice  + 2x flower clusters + 3x bling / dots + 4x patter papers

This layout features a photo of my Mum and my oldest son at his school Senior Commitment Mass at school earlier this year..
I chose green and to scrap more of the 6x6 paper pad that I actually used for the next challenge.. lol
The green mist actually suits much closer in real life, the camera seems to have brighten it a bit.. oops..
I used a gorgeous Mandela ready cut sheet from Scrapbook Fantasies and the "Memory Lane" collection from Kaiser..
Some bling and gauze finished off the layout with the fussy cut flower clusters..

Challenge 3 -  Colour from the photo background
3 or more photos + embellishment that doesn't go with the theme + doily / mixed media

It features stunning photos of a friends daughter - Ella, that I have used a few times the past few weeks.. It is such a dream to be able to create with these photos!
I used the "new adventures" die cuts, stamps and cogs by Couture Creations and paper from the "Memory Lane" collection by Kaiser. Then chose to do both some mixed media and add a doily..
The colour I focused on was the sand in the background of the photos and cogs are the embellishments that don't go with the "girly beachy" theme..

You still have time to drop over and join in with these challenges or even just say HI on the crop event page.... Hope you're all having a wonderful weekend.. Right now I am actually inside a local scrap shop helping with stocktake this weekend.. Loving it as this is right up with my relaxing zone, weird I know... Plenty of laughs and wow it's been so good to see my crafty friends after so long being locked in by covid..

Happy Scrapping..

For the first time in a long, long time I have finally managed to get a challenge entry into the inspiration ideas over at Scrapbook Fantasies facebook group..
There are no prizes as such, it's more simply inspirational ideas to create, which I love!!

Unfortunately, I haven't got a chance to put a photo on it though.. I wasn't feeling all that great at the time and with a headache, the layout really wasn't as awesome it could have been..
But I wasn't to share it with you all anyway, as it's just such a fun and cheerful, bright coloured layout that I thought that maybe someone would get a smile out of it.. :)

This truly lovely young lady has allowed me to use her photos again to create something gorgeous with this Mintay range..
I chose Aqua for the third colour option.. Loads of extra goodies like flowers and fussy cuts..

Lasting Memories - 501 - Confetti

DT Button

#501 - Confetti
after a small little break during covid iso to focus on my family for home learning I am back with my DT layouts for Lasting Memories LO challenges.. I'm loving what we have lined up for you this month as we celebrate our 500th challenge last week..

good vibes

It was so much fun putting this layout together.. I wanted to think outside the normal scrap layout..
And went with a "shaker"..  Something many of us make with a card, but I've not seen it done with a layout before.. It was a learning curve, but essentially just the same but on a bigger scale.

I loved these papers from Coco Vanilla..
I choose to tear the flower wreath as I'm not a big fussy cutter, as I knew I would need a bigger base on the wreath to be able to put the double sided tape and hide the acetate..

Wanting to keep the focus of the layout on the "confetti" didn't leave me with many options for embellishments, mats or layering since the wreath was already raised.

So in came the washi tape for the win..

The sequins are soooo pretty!

What do you think?

Thank you very much for joining me today and I'm so excited to be able to share with you all the creations for the Lasting Memories Design Team!

Even Amongst the STARS you shine

Hey hey.. Welcome back scrappers.. I am so pleased with my recent crafting spurt and getting to share another fun layout with you all..
Today, I am sharing a layout I made for the Scrap The Boys  - June challenge to use the mood board and a graphic as inspiration..

Even amongst the STARS you shine

I loved putting this page together, it was so much fun!!
I used the Colour Blast - Grunge collection for the base and sploshed some green mist down and then blue stamping over the top of that.. I reckon this hits the feeling of the mood board, what do you think??

Using the super cute Project Life photo transparent overlayers to add both black and white elements, plenty of silver cardstock pieces and bling to match.. There are stars and circles to fit in with the mood board too..

It's only a fairyly simple page, but the elements on it make photo pop and as the eye skims along the page it can stop to focus on the graphic cut out..

Thanks again for dropping by, I hope you are having a great week! Drop on over to the Scrap The Boys blog to link up your own entry too! :)

Happy Scrapping..

White With One - Whisper White

White..with 1

White on White... Yes, I know what you're thinking... We as a DT all thought the same thing, but heck we were all excited too once we got our heads around it. I promise you will too! It's such a fun challenge and you will love the result.. Take your time, think about it and try to use the sketch too if you can..

Image may contain: text that says 'WHISPER' No photo description available.

Beautiful
2019

Righto, here we go... I'm not really sure what to say other than layering, layering, layering... lol

I used a plain cardstock and covered parts with a gorgeous textured pieces that I had torn.
On top of that is the seriously beautiful Butterfly cut out sheet from Cut to You and a clear vellum photo mat from Project Life..

Pretty flowers, white leaves and a clear glass little birdie up the top with the oval tag..

What do you think?

Thank you very much for joining me today and I'm so excited to be able to share with you all the creations for the White With One challenge this month.
I really hope that you will drop by the blog and check out the inspiration from the rest of the team members and then get creative to link up your own entry TO OUR FACEBOOK PAGE!

Your imagination is your only limit.. No dashing of an extra colour this month to your white layout, keep it all white on white..
Thanks again, Toni.. xoxo
