This week we would love to see some textures with Twine, Yarn, String... 

LASTING MEMORIES LAYOUT CHALLENGES 

It's a guy thing

This American Crafts layout has been laying around for ages.. Yep, it's been collecting dust too. 

I know, I know... I have been terrible at never using my papers and just stocking them.. ekk. 

Now though, I am finally using up my stash. 

The chipboard pieces are from Celebr8 and I have left them plain so it all flows easily with the colour of the bakers twine I used for the texture element of this challenge. 

I love this technique and was so excited when my brain actually managed to come up with something like this. lol.. 

I used the arrows as the templates for the twine. Running fingers over the layout is texture for days!

Lasting Memories 488 - Faux Quilting

And here is March.... March, already! 
This month our theme is all about "techniques" on the layouts.. 
#488 - Faux Quilting ~  To give the appearance of quilted fabric either with real stitching or fake stitching with a stamp or drawn stitch lines or even use a quilt die.

LASTING MEMORIES LAYOUT CHALLENGES 

Nerf Party 2019 

This Kaiser party POP! collection was the perfect pattern to cut up and "fake stitch" back together.. Again, another layout that is not my usual design, but loved making this.. The fun and bright colours just make you shimmy in your seat and feel such cheer! 

I used both both and real stitching on this layout.. Black pen for the pattern paper and some black string on the flags..
